Mouth wateringly delicious Mandy. My Mum always used Bramley's but I'm going to try the mix with eating apples, what a good idea. I love your recipes and the background stories with them. You should compile a recipe book and include the stories, it all means so much more when there's the background included, and so many people would identify with those memories, because we all have them. BTW congratulations on the 30k subscribers, well earnt XX
A fantastic deep filled apple pie, just like my Mum used to make with both cookers & eating apples 🍏🍎, your pastry looked & sounded like the perfect short-crust, your Nan would be very proud, 🥰💗, she taught you well Mandy. Bet she’s watching you from up above somewhere 🪽, & cheering you on with your channel success!☺️ Once again my hearty congratulations on passing the 30k milestone!🎉👩🍳👍👌🥧😋
What a lovely ending to the video. Congratulations on 30K. Apple pie looks amazing, will be having a go at this one. Have never thought to stew some apples and add eaters to it to make the sauce. Great idea
Well, I am not surprised you hit 30,000 subscribers. I am in the U.S., and I love watching your videos. I have made several of your recipes, and I am never disappointed! Thank you!
That spoon-trick makes a very nice pattern, totally stealing that one :) Thanks for the video, pie looks delicious - nana is def proud! 30k is well-deserved!
Absolutely gorgeous brought memories back to me of my mother on a sunday she passed in November at 93 we will never see the likes of them again the day to day living was though they kept going no matter what so strong
If you don't have custard, it's yummy to make a caramel sauce by using some soft brown (light) sugar, and cream heated in a saucepan until it bubbles and thickened slightly. You don't need exact measurements, it's easy to eyeball it. That poured onto your serve of pie is like having a yummy toffee apple. 😊
Now that IS a proper apple pie, just like me mother used to make. Yes in those days we had to eat all our dinners up, no phaffing. Congratulations 🎉on 30k subs🤗
Great video Amanda. ❤ nothing like the old recipes. Totally agree with you on those silicone brushes. Absolutely useless 😂. Yes familiar with the hobs of hell too. 😂😂. She would be dead proud of you pet. Xx
Oh my goodness Mand, you know when you get the goose pimples allover yourself when something brings back a very long distance memory. it must be fifty years since I saw my mam make an apple pie and put the apple tree leaves on it bloody hell you have made my day flooding in tears now thinking of that when I was little watching the pie cool on the window sill love as ever Maggie xxxx
Congratulations to hitting 30k and hope your channel grows and grows like we grow to love watching you make Delisious meals ❤🎉 your Nana would be very proud of you I'm sure x
You have changed my life I never enjoyed cooking but I lost my wonderful hubby and saw your channel so I made jam roll poly and egg and bacon pie both your recipes and they were ok for first time. I have just watched your nannas Apple pie so will give this a whirl on Sunday for Mother’s Day as family will visit. Hope it looks as good as nannas fingers crossed. You are an inspiration to me and I’m sure others so happy Mother’s Day to you and thank you . Pauline
Congratulations 30,000,and so well deserved. My Mom used cooking apples, which she cooked as you did,and really it was an apple sauce pie, which I loved anyway. Good idea to add raw apples for texture, here in the States the apples we use(Granny Smith) seem much juicier than the apples you were using,as I always need to add cornflour or we end up with boiling juice everywhere. I have used Honeycrisp apple as well, but they are very juicy too.🍏🍏
So funny, I really just made my late Mamas Vienna Appel Pie when the bell ring for your Appel Pie.... it is of course diffrent (the appels go in the more fluid pastry and with a bit of Rum), but my father wanted it. We have it hot with vanilla ice cream as well. So I've shared your thoughts while making it. 😊😊👍
I always want to cook whatever recipe you show. So far those I've done have been fantastic. Your cooking so reminds me of my Grandmother's way. Thanks Mand. Hey and 🎉 Congratulations!🎉
Aw Mand, you seemed emotional during your video, reminiscing about your nan. Hope Ian gives you a big cwtch (hug). Lovely apple pie. Mandy, you maybe better using a traditional lancaster peeler the ones with rope around handle, my mother used one and I have had mine for forty years plus, I can't use any other type. Good wholesome baking....that's what I enjoy watching x
Thank you for your restraint with the cinnamon. Ive watched a lot of American vids making apple pie and they seem to drown out the apples with the amount of cinnamon they use
Here in the States people love cinnamon, not just in apple pie,in all sorts of things, cinnamon buns, sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie,in coffee,it’s everywhere.😂
Really had my mouth watering 😋

Lovely apple pie. Congratulations on reaching 30k, you deserve it.
Thanks so much! X
My grandma used to put seedless raisins in the filling
Aw Mand, you seemed emotional during your video, reminiscing about your nan. Hope Ian gives you a big cwtch (hug). Lovely apple pie. The Brambley's are now dearer than the eating apples, but you can't have an apple pie without the brambley apple.
Congratulations on hitting 3Ok subscribers ❤❤
Thank you so much I'm blown away x
Could you do crab apple jelly
If I can find crab apples x
What temperature was the oven set to?
180. For 35 to 40 mins.
Where did you buy the brushes ?
Amazon x
I have a Bramley tree in my garden, it is a prolific fruiter but my wife cannot eat apple, I end up feeding half the county with free fruit😊
Haha pass some over can't always find them haha x
No. Thank you for all your dishes. Xx
Apple pie looks delicious.
What happened to the pastry bits, if I was there l would have eaten it raw 😂😂😂. Love sweet pastry
Rolled out sprinkled with supervision and baked it's like biscuits x

@JanetBrown-px2jn ... and seem to have a compulsion to add vanilla to anything sweet.
